Commodore 64 Week
OK, so here’s the Commodore 64 week competition. The rules are simple: try to guess the classic C64 game featured in the screenshots below.
Every day starting today Monday, August 1st till Saturday, August 6th, I’ll be adding a screenshot of a legendary Commodore 64 game, so you’ll have 6 screenshots in total of 6 different games. Try to find all these (6) games and mail them to me at robby.boey@mos6502.com or DM them to me via Twitter till Monday, August 8th 22h00 CET.
From all the correct entries, i.e. those that have all 6 games correct (if there’s no-one with all 6 correct, I’ll move down to the participants who had 5 games correct and so on), I’ll draw one lucky winner who will get a copy of Brian Bagnall’s excellent book “Commodore: A Company on the Edge - 2nd edition“. Another lucky participant will get a copy of Harold Goldberg’s “All Your Base Are Belong to Us: How Fifty Years of Videogames Conquered Pop Culture“. For the latter, the draw will be amongst all participants, so even if you know only say 3 out of 6 featured games, you still have a chance to win this excellent book!
So, what are you waiting for, get cracking!
Here’s the first game/screenshot.
Here’s Tuesday’s screenshot/game of another classic, one that scored 90+ in Zzap!64′s review and even a perfect 10 in YC magazine… can you guess this simulation that used 3D wireframe graphics?
Have you guessed the games above? Here’s the 3rd screenshot/game. It sure was quite a tough shoot ‘em up!
Here’s Thursday’s challenge!
Yesterday a game featuring a virtual house, now a plumber =)
Here’s the last screenshot of the competiton… it’s safe to say that this is one of the biggest games for the C64 (and had the longest production time), spanning more than 12 disks and featuring some really great graphics.
Good luck!
