Commodore 64 “Silver Label”
Most people will remember the Commodore 64 as the classic breadox with the rainbow logo. However, when Commodore released the first C64s, they didn’t have this logo, but had a silver logo with the text “Commodore” and a silver “64” next to the power LED.
These first versions had a small defect and had to be recalled to the factory for repair. There, these early models also got the new logo, the classic rainbows. Only a few old C64 machines escaped the re-badging and hence are considered valuable collector’s items.
