Commodore Max Machine

The Max Machine, also known as the “UltiMax” or “VIC-10”  is the original game console version of the famous Commodore 64.
It has, in contrast to the the later C64, not really a cassette to load the games (although the port is present), so software is loaded by cartridge through the Max’s cartridge port in the back.

It was only really sold in the Japanese marketplace, and never made it to Europe or the United States.
Due to the very limited sales, it is one of the most sought of Commodore machines because to its rarity.
